About the Job

The Commercial Manager is responsible for driving business development and market expansion in Japan. This role requires a commercially strong leader who can deliver immediate revenue growth while building long-term strategic presence in the Japanese market. You will take ownership of Japan, lead sales development and key client relationships, and align closely with global leadership to accelerate growth. Your mission is to ensure Japanese clients benefit from the most advanced market intelligence, powered by powerful analytics and cutting-edge AI tools.

Your Responsibilities

Strategic Market Ownership

·        Deliver best-in-class solutions to Japanese clients

·        Identify expansion opportunities across sectors and segments

·        Build sustainable market positioning and long-term competitive advantage

Sales & Business Development

·        Build and manage a strong sales pipeline

·        Achieve and exceed revenue targets

·        Drive new business acquisition and close strategic deals

·        Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers

Leadership & Coordination

·        Work closely with global teams to maximize client value

·        Ensure outstanding service and insight delivery

·        Monitor performance and continuously improve regional execution

·        Support strong marketing and communication initiatives

Market Representation

·        Represent Innova at industry events and conferences

·        Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity

·        Strengthen brand visibility in Japan

Job Requirements

Experience

·        8–10+ years of senior commercial experience in Japan

·        Strong B2B sales background

·        Experience within FMCG, food & beverage, research, SaaS, data, or consulting

·        Proven track record of revenue growth and market expansion
